Wouldn't be seen dead in a 75, I have far too much respect for myself. :scared:

Unless it was a V8. :D

Well I have indeed sold her. A recovery truck will be arriving with the finished Midsomer Car, and leaving with a complete Joppy on it ;)

An unfortunate end but there you are, needs must and it owes me. No one is going to pay anything sensible for it as it stands.
I would rather not dismantle it for many reasons, not least because its time consuming and I've got other things to do. The car could survive but as it stands I think the safest bet would be to put another engine in it and that is going to be way out of the budget that I would consider for such a vehicle.

Always the problem with cars as they get older. Lot's of people agree they should be preserved, but no-one is prepared to throw the money at it that is required, with no prospect of it being worth the money invested.

The bottom line is anything is worth what someone is prepared to pay, and parts are way more valuable.

I'd kind of like to save it, but already have one that has cost way more than it's value. Another would probably be the straw that broke the camels back, and I don't have the time anyway. Same will be true of so many.

So while it's sad to see, I really don't think anyone can criticise Corin, can they?

Totally agree with you fellas.
I had the chance as you know, but I let her go as not wanting to spend the large amounts of money that would be needed to get her in ship shape condition. I've got the room to keep her but I didn't want to be spending on yet another car or dismantling one and having to sweet-talk the missus around every day I was working on her (the car that is).

If her wheels were in better shape then I most probably would have paid the peanuts that she was offered to me for, then I would have to be doing the dreadful job of what you will be doing Corin :( which really is a shame but I totally understand.

All the best with the dismantle.

Well, if you find any oddball unexplained parts, please let me know and I'll see if I can identify them.

I have always wondered why pre-production cars seem to have floppy internal door handles.
The spring seems to be weaker and a piece of foam is included to soften the return.
ECU (Engine Control Unit) /Plenum cover plates seem to be made out of very thin plastic when compared to production items as well.
