I cleaned grit out of my drivers side front brake but still feel there is a grinding noise from the front wheel or transmission (noise there if out of gear and coasting with engine off) and in front of the driver. If I lean to put my head by the centre console the noise is quiet but noisy when listening sitting normally by the steering wheel. I just had the front o/s wheel off and all seems good I placed a bar against the driveshaft and cant get play in the centre driveshaft bearing. The driveshaft and brake disc turns quietly except I wonder about the play in the driveshaft/or inner cv if holding the drivers side brake disc and turning alternate clockwise and anti clockwise? I assume there would normally be play?
