Couldn't resist. Not a humdinger, just something I paid about £15 for at an antique fair around 20 years ago. It's about 2.5 mm thick, with hairy arms it looks subcutaneous! 17 jewels, Incablock, Swiss (but rather basic movement) and 9 ct. Bracelet is a replacement I think but lovely watch, very accurate. 1960's?

Vostok 24 hours classic

This Vostok is a simple yet elegant watch and, due to its size and style, this is arguably the only Vostok 24 hour watch which could be worn both by a man or a woman. Another feature which distinguishes it from most other Vostok watches is that it does not have a screw-down crown.
The mechanism inside this watch is an anti-shock Vostok 2423 (Frequency: 19800 vph; daily rate from -20 to +60 s/day; power reserve min: 38 h) and the case is made of polished steel. The screws, glass rim and crown are very slightly tinted in gold. The luming is decent, but far from the super-luminova seen on Volmax watches. Curiously, while the brand name is written in Russian (Восток) along with “made in Russia” (сделано в России) on the face of the watch, it is written in English (Vostok – Russia) on the back.

A gentlemans replica Rover 75 Vets watch styled on a 1940-50's look. That's a lot of watches Andy! Do you use any of them on a regular basis?

I am on the lookout for a Rolex 'Victory' circa 1945.

In 1945 whilst dad was on shore leave in Nova Scotia he bought the above watch and he kept it for many years and for years later it was stored in the loft. A plumber came to do some work in the loft and the watch disappeared.

I have seen some of the Vostok range. Well made and reliable I believe.

I wear the Amphibian one most days for work if I'm going to be on the tools, if I'm out looking at jobs or in the office then. I pick one of my others to wear, I do swap them around so I get to wear most of them.

I wear a basic swatch automatic most days, just because I love automatic watches! But what I really like about the swatch is just the simplicity, its got a basic ETA 2842, 21,600 bph, 23 jewel movement and a plastic case but it's great and really light. i have a few picked at boot sales as they often do not work folks assume they need a new battery and do not bother.when in fact they just need winding up.so far a couple of mudus a very nice vintage enicar gold auto paid a pound for that one.and my favourite a nice longines.every day one a swatch or the tag heur formula one
