Looking through some old family photos and found this -

I can't identify the car though. Put it down to age.
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

Hi Bernard - you can put the reg number in this website to find out if it is still on the road and that should tell you its make https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPo ... ution=e1s2
I tried putting in the 4 numbers that I can see but there might be a letter hidden or something.. good luck

From the radiator Mascot, it might be something by Swift, who seemed to do conversions.

The Emblem looks to be one from an Alvis. Not sure what Model.

Yeah, pretty sure that you are right with Alvis. He later moved on to Jaguars, I do know.
Would be good to identify the model, I know nothing about them.

I've done some research and although there are quite a few variations I think this is the closest. Other pics of cars with the same designation have differing front ends especially regarding front bumper detail.

My Stepdad's Father had one of these in his Garage, I used to "Pretend" Drive it when I was a Kid. It was the most awesome Car I had seen back then, with the Fenders and a Wooden Steering Wheel and Dash etc, beautiful car.

After he died, my Stepdad's brother sold it :(

That's got to be it, Mick. I wish it was still in the family though. 8-)

Not for sure, there is no way of finding out now as all relatives from that era are long dead and that is the only photo.

Maybe the Association of Motor Manufacturers could help.
