Tourer middle seat belt jammed by RoberB

Hi
put in a new rear bench seat in my tourer.
But I have noticed that the middle seat belt is not unwinding. it is jammed.
Have tried parking on level, downhill and uphill. nothing seems to work.
Interestingly the bench I took out also has a similar problem when I checked this afterwards.
Can anyone help?

Try pushing the belt back into the mechanism slightly. It may have jammed because it was the wrong way up while being moved / swapped, and needs a bit of slack just to let it release.

Just to close this - got the belt unjammed by slamming the bench back forcefully. The seat belt locks up if the bench is not in the locked position. The new bench was not quite in the locked position - it is now...
