Yve has had a Acer V3-571 from new and it has performed faultlessly. When I decided to give up a tower I decided to buy an Acer V3-771G - 17" screen, graphics, 1TB HDD and space for a second. Been very pleased with it, bought via gumtree for what I thought a very reasonable price.

The Argos refurbished ones on eBay show two Acers with 17" screens, at £219 and £229, so tempting!

Anyone got any experience of HP laptops? At the moment the one linked to before looks good, with 8gb RAM (the Acers have 4gb). Chip is AMD not Intel, but is this an issue? Been so long since I looked at stuff like this I can't recall.... :)
