Disgraceful is all I can say, if it is true.....
It has taken seven years, but laid-off workers at Britain's last major car maker, MG Rover, look to have secured a tasty redundancy package from their former employers.
The compensation fund is Ã‚Â£22,000, meaning each of the 6,500 workers will receive a massive Ã‚Â£3.
That's right, Ã‚Â£3. And this from a manufacturing company whose owners took away Ã‚Â£42m (they bought MG Rover for Ã‚Â£10 in 2000 to huge cheers from the factory staff).
Understandably, this news has not gone down well with the former workers as they were promised a share of over Ã‚Â£50m when the plant closed in 2005. They clearly weren't warned just how small that share would become.
