It has been confirmed by the MOD as well as by members of the public that one of the Red Arrows has crashed after a display at Bournemoth Air Show. Unfortunately the Pilot died.

Very sad news,best we wait and see the official report.One site says the poor chap ejected and he was very brave in flying the stricken machine away from houses.

What a brave man and our thoughts go out to his family.

We saw the arrows fly over before it happened and as always they performed amazingly, I'm lost for words as these pilots are so gifted and do deserve the honor of being named hero's.

I understand a family that lived nearby had rushed to the site of the crash as it was only yards away from their home, they pulled Jon Egging from the water in a attempt to save his life.
