Generating electricity from wind power and sea power seems to me as being sold as having a positive effect. For me it seems that if you take energy out of the wind or sea it must have an effect which may be positive for some and negative for others.

Generating power from nuclear has no effect apart from the need for storage and extremely good planning and management - which Russia and Japan have failed to do and then there is Sellafield.

Personally I'm appreciating solar power right now. Several loads of washing done today, and tumble dried, all for free (OK ignoring the investment).
