HID Kits Recommendations? by Zeb

Headlamp bulb has blown again....fed up with the inconvenience so am thinking of getting an HID (High Intensity Discharge) kit... I know the pros / cons re future MOTs and self levelling and washers and potential dazzle factor but I have headlamp washers and most of my driving is very rural... so, what would be the best kit and what colour temperature?

At the moment I am looking at this because it is a) relatively cheap and b) Phillips bulbs..

Hmmmm listing has been removed

Have never been stopped for mine, but then I had them properly aligned.

Why not buy my genuine Xenon headlamps Carl? :-D

That way is a quick swap out each year for the MOT?

Very good price, but it does say based on phillips technology not that that burners are genuine Phillips.

Ebay links are completely different, one from the other.

Should have checked all round yesterday Carl, I was convinced it was just the reversing light that was out, headlamp must have gone as you were leaving.

Reverse lights don't have the bulb check on them though. Driven straight from a relay (manuals) or a relay (autos).

Front fogs also don't have bulb check being driven by a relay.

Which bit are you reading?

All I can see is; 'Our bulbs are made with Phillips technology'? A bit ambiguous I suppose...?

Carl, have just come a cropper with lines like that before.

A quick Q to them on eBay should clarify it all for you.

It looks to me like all the kits available could be construed as a tad questionable re country of origin and maker..:D

Your Mk1 Zenons won't fit my MK2 ZT-T Chris..

I have ordered some from here:

Forgot your ZT-T was a facelift....

Hope they do the trick for you Carl.

I miss the bright white light already, even though I have night breakers in. Also preferred the look with the sidelights being in the main beam lens so all 4 lights on when dipped.
