Folder reverts to previous attributes *Solved* by raistlin

I'm using Windows 7 and I have a folder which I want to move to another location. The operation is refused and when I look at the attributes it is "Read Only".

I change that attribute and it seems to be accepted. However, immediately I close the attributes box, the folder reverts to its previous attribute.

Any ideas please?

Might be daft but are you clicking 'Apply' rather than 'Ok'?
