Floods by PaulT

My cousin, children and his wife have been sitting upstairs in their Somerset home, totally cut off from the outside world, with the downstairs flooded for the last five weeks.

Today the Red Cross pulled up outside in a boat.

"Thank God!" he shouted. "Have you come to save us?"

"No," they replied. "We're collecting donations for Syria."

"Don't think of them as problems, think of them as opportunities."
"OK, I think I've hit an insurmountable opportunity!"

Although that is in Comedy section.........................
That wouldn't surprise me for one minute, we have given up all donations to foreign help groups regardless.
The years and years of wasted money sent, things are exactly the same 35 years after many were started, many expect help and never help themselves.
About time this Country looked after it's own people/residents first.

These are Personal thoughts and not Community statement.

"My lovely car now sold onto a very happy new owner.
I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"
