Flaming June by raistlin

First of June. Lovely. Summer's here.

You can tell because of the gale force winds, driving rain, overcast sky and the temperature? A balmy 6 degrees Celsius.

We've just had to put the central heating on :(

Well, we arrived in SW France two weeks ago and for the first week had to have the heating on in the evenings.

Same in Wales on the Coast, but meant to be up in the twenties Celsius after Wednesday and for weekend.
Yes I'm still here. ;)

"My lovely car now sold onto a very happy new owner.
I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

Sunday evening I connected up our new water barrels. Unfortunately the taps were left open as it was far from clear which way was which. So 6:00 yesterday evening I realised and closed them. 24 hours later 550 litres of water collected. That's some rain.

East Anglia hardly ever rains, almost wall-to-wall sunshine. Lawns already dying, have four large water butts but will be dry probably within a week to 10 days.

Gorgeous, love it. One of Britain's best kept secrets so don't tell anyone.

It should always be wet outside whales. But they aren't like sharks so don't need to be wet inside to breath as far as I know.

For weather forecasters, summer starts 1st June (the BBC forecasters said so on June 1st). For others it starts at the summer solstice, 21st June.
