Any news on the 'chambered' rear box - what did the member who had it fitted think?
Having had to replace the back box on my 2.5 tourer, I strongly recommend the X part supplied replacement part. The car is sooooooo much quieter than the previous replacement unit that was made by Bosal. My original OEM unit lasted well over 80,000 mies, the Bosal unit only less than 40,000 miles. The replacement X part unit looks just like the original and is probably double skinnned just like the original.
Not cheap,but very very quiet!!
