Cold engine by lud724n

Hi all new to Rover 75s 1.8 non turbo
Great motor, but have noticed mine runs v cold, on a run coolant temp was around 55/60 with diagnostic mode thingy running.
Heater is warm and seems ok.. Gasket etc done by previous chap got receipts.
Only done 53k... I assume that the thermastat is stuck open or can anyone think it might be anything else. If the thermosta i was wondering if the new inline variety could be used on the petrol engine and could anybody recommend a person who may help change it.. I can get to a nano meet but feel guilty as I'm not a mechanic and only just joined the rover world.

Take care stu
