In case you were in any doubt about all that terminology thrown about when people talk about cars, now you can take this handy guide with you. Just print out a copy of this post and pop it in your pocket for an easy-to-access know-how! ;)

  • "Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
  • "Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
  • "Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
  • "Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.
