We went to see our Daughter & Grandkids yesterday in Winchester a 320 mile round trip so thought it would be an ideal opportunity to check Boris's MPG since I replaced his Bosch MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor).

Well, on a brim to brim check I was SO impressed!

Total miles 320.
Re-fuel today 25.64 litres @ £1.169 = 5.64 gallons
MPG 56.7!!

I would say that my ave speed was a steady 70 mph as it's mostly Motorway / Dual carriageway from Derby, with around 2200 - 2400 rpm. So not booting it really.

This was really good as the last time I did a similar check on the same journey it was 47.8 mpg

Happy father's Day to Boris, I say! ;) (unless I can't do the maths, of course  )

By my maths that's a 19% increase in MPG, that new MAF will pay for itself very quickly at that rate.
