In the local news today is a story about a group of 'travellers' who turned up at a recreation ground in Fareham, Hants. They couldn't get in because the council had installed a height barrier. When the police arrived and found the travellers blocking the road they made the council open the barrier so that the travellers could drive into the ground so they had enough room to turn around their 4x4s and caravans and leave . . . yep you've guessed it, when the barrier was raised they drove onto the rec . . . and stayed there.
