I needed a gasket for one of the rear lights on the MGZT as it was leaking water, looked around cheapest for a bit of foam gasket i found was £16, I thought i just cant justify that cost for a bit of foam so i went to the local scrapyards today and got 2 out of a 75 that look like they had recently been changed for £2 bargain me thinks!!

No point spending it if you don't have to

They don't tend to wear out, just a spot of an appropriate adhesive to make the join again is usually enough, but why bother if you can get for so little.

Another tip is to swap passenger side and drivers side over to give a new lease of life ;)
