110v transformer by Duncan

I need to turn 240v into 110v. The yellow transformers for power tools would be ideal if a bit over the top for my needs: I'm looking for around 500 watts. There are other versions, but mostly much less wattage. They seem to be either 100 watt or 3kW and nothing much between.

There are plenty on ebay, and I quite happy to buy one of these, but thought I'd post here in case anyone has one they want rid of. Probably needs to be local as postage may be steep.

I have one you can borrow if you want Duncan but I need it to charge my circular saw so will need it back.

Thanks for the offer Paul, but I'm after one to keep.

I have one...an original 'building site' spec from way back when but still works. The 240v lead could do with replacing cos the outer casing is splitting near the yellow box...also have 110v Makita hammer drill to go with it but the trouble is I'm in West Yorks. I can get them as far south as Sheffield (possibly Retford at a push) but from there you'd have to find a few members to relay it to you if you want them.

Thanks, but the thread's a year old, and I've got one now.
