This may be a silly question, but if I were to fit a 1.8 K series Turbo engine to my 1.8 non turbo 75 as a replacement, what would be the results?
To clarify, I mean to just use the 1.8T engine in a non turbo envioronment, i.e. with my cars existing non turbo manifolds, injectors & ecu.
I realise the compression ration is lower for the turbo engine, so in the above scenario, am I right in thinking this would result in a drop in power in line with the percentage drop in compression?
The reason I'm asking is my current engine is worn out and I've been offered a nice 1.8T engine at a good price.
