Wiring diagram for two-wire cooling fan. by Bernard

Has anyone got a wiring diagram of the control box for the two-wire fan please?

The only diagram that I can find is for the 3- speed showing 3 relays.
I have 2 relays in the control box and the wiring has been altered to give just a single fast speed which probably accounts for the fan motor failure.
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

If no one has it, try Jules.

Dave (Takestock) posted the info on a thread where Steve (Arctic) was trying to sort his two speed out. Ignore any diagrams from the workshop manual, they are wrong and misleading.

the one I did was for a two speed motor fitted to a three speed diesel relay box. sorry :(

Let me have a look in me shed, sure I have one ;)

Thanks Dave, I think that I may have more wires than that.
I should be able to sort it from that though.

That is exactly the same, the part you can see. It's the parts you cannot see that may be different

HI Dave the parts you can not see are just the loom no motor but in theother thread i have a 1.8t motor with three wires would that not work if one of the wires were cut  tell me to go back to sleep if i am in anyway confusing this

The relay box is the same, the motor is different, the one with the resistor having only two wires, the three wire motor from the 1.8 would appear to be compatible but why would you? The 1.8 motor has almost certainly been identified as a clone of the three speed motor without the fourth brush and hence will have the same failure rate.

Now, go back to sleep :D :D :D
