Window tint adhesive by raistlin

Hi All, I reckon a drug dealer owned my car because it had tint on the rear screen and rear windows.

Thanks to Ben at the Nano, the tint film is now removed but the problem is the adhesive.

I have several solvents which dissolve it but all that happens is that it is spread around when wiped.

Can anybody tell me how to completely remove the adhesive please?

I'll have to be careful with the rear screen as I don't want to damage the heater and aerial elements.

Thanks :)
Paul

Use a clean rag whilst the glue is being spread round to start taking it off. Paper kitchen towel roll is a cheap throw away substitute. It takes a bit of time. Once off glass cleaner will clean any dirt/swirls away. The solvent on the rags stops the glue sticking to it unless you have loads and can literally grab it off the window.

What a flippin' job that was :(

Very sharp razor blade and half a gallon of 33% Ammonium (makes yer eyes water) Hydroxide. To say I was pleased that it was a tad breezy around here this weekend would be an understatement. That stuff isn't a joy to work with.

But well worth the effort though :)
