What do you think this wire is to? by Mischief

Looking at the battery there is a screw that looks like its meant for another wire and i have spotted this wire zip tied to the bonnet strut. Would this be why my locks are misbehaving and why i get a communication error on the T4 (Testbook version 4.Computer Diagnostic System) machine:

EDIT: Its a W reg (2000) 1.8 75

It's just an earth strap to the bonnet :) appears to have broken at the top. :)

Dave is absolutely right. It's to reduce ignition interference to the radio (and other peoples radios). It will have no effect on any operation of things.

Also I can't see the bolt it should fix to on the bonnet itself, which suggests the bonnet is not original.
