Steering Wheel replacement - Bit more info by carlpenn

Not sure if anyone knows this, if not then cool.

Whilst changing my Wheel, the one I bought had no slot for the Cruise Control. I noted from previous posters that they Cut the slot out. Hopefully this will be a quicker and "cleaner" approach.

Look at the Photo below:

Image

There are two Washers hoilding the wheel in at the 3 and 9 O Clock position, these can be carefully prised off and put to one side.

The four Blue crosses are part of the Wheel backplate, these simply pop off.

The two orange circles at the 6 O Clock position pop out and are not locked in with anything.

Pretty simple to get off, the Clips are a bit of a pain to get back on, but I used 2 screwdrivers, one to hold the clip down and the other to push the clip on.

So you can simply switch the two slot backplate from your old wheel to your new wheel.
Upgrades:

Fitted Electric Memory Seat, Leather Cubby Lid, Wood Dash, Message Centre.
