Steering Wheel Radio Controls ... by Chartermark

Mine stopped working after an 'Eyebrow replacement'

I have the correct converter thingy, it's worked well for three years, the wheel end connections are not the fault (checked with spare steering wheel).

I've read a few posts first and a few allude to a 'remote eye', fitted in the eyebrow, that works the steering wheel controls.

Does this eye revert back to the radio, or the steering wheel end please?

It receives signals from the steering control via the infra red "eye" under the eyebrow. Sometimes just an adjustment in position will resolve the connection problem.

Thanks Mick,

I don't think its been relocated. I've got a Sony 'Dab' and wasn't aware it had this 'eye'. I'm off to see my radio tech tomorrow, so I'll let him know what to look for.

Didn't remember which head you had. Definitely not IR.

Sony often use hard wire (possibly plugged into rear of unit?)

Spot on John, a simple job of plugging it in.
