Any recommendations as to which to buy, I don't want to spend a fortune, but also don't want to buy some that will kill me!!

I've never been completely happy with either of the two sets I have. One is the Halfords set, the other syke pickavant.

The big problem is they tend to slip around to one side of the spring, even if you have four spaced evenly when you start. I've managed OK but had a twitchy ring every time.

I recently saw these:

and think they are a lot but should be massively safer. Depends how much you might use them in the future.

The Snap-On ones seem to be highly recommended and are the ones I have use of.

yeah, deffo go for the hydraulic compressors if money allows. they are in my opinion much safer and easier to use. hard enough with two let alown four to try and mak it safer :?
