Enthusiasts’ Ensemble 2014 – Pride of Longbridge Weekend – 15th Anniversary Launch Celebrations. 12th-13th April 2014

2014 will see the 15th Anniversary of the Rover 75 sales launch back in 1999. With this in mind, we think that this justifies a greater celebration than a simple, standard one day event.

To that effect, we are offering a weekend package for the weekend of the 12th/13th of April next year.
The itinerary is as follows:

Saturday 12th April

Pride of Longbridge at Cofton Park. The Enthusiasts will be in attendance at the ever popular annual event along with a variety of other Longbridge-produced vehicles.

Evening. The 75 & ZT Enthusiasts have organised a dinner, bed and breakfast package at the Devere Hotel at Studley Castle, the former Austin, BL and latterly MG Rover training and conference centre. See here for more details: http://www.deverevenues.co.uk/en/venues/studley-castle/

We hope to announce a few more details about the evening’s events soon.

Sunday 13th April

On the Sunday morning, there will be a convoy from Studley Castle to our venue for the Rally – Ragley Hall.
Ragley Hall was host to the Rover centenary in 2004 and was used in such photos as:

Photographs outside the hall will be possible on the day, where we also plan to have a timeline of cars ranging from the very first cars, right to the last in 2005. There will also be the regular categories for members to win prizes, along with a few other surprises.

Costings:
We have been allocated 25 rooms at Studley Castle, on a first come, first served basis. We may have the option for extra capacity, once these 25 have been taken. However, please note: Should any of our allocation remain un-booked 6 weeks prior to the event, these rooms will be made available to the general public.
The offer rate is £105 dinner, bed and breakfast based on 2 people sharing a double or twin room.

Ragley Hall would normally cost £8.50 per person for access the grounds, however for members attending the rally, entry is based per car at £10.00 regardless of how many occupants. Tours of the house can be booked on the day at £2 a person.

For those wishing to book rooms at Studley Castle, you will need to contact Studley Castle directly, quoting ‘75 & ZT Enthusiasts’ for the relevant dates and discounts.

We look forward to seeing you there next year! If interested parties could also voice their interest on this thread, that would be superb - thank you![/centre]

** NEWS UPDATE 04/12/2013 **

The 75 & ZT Enthusiasts are pleased to announce one of the many features at the Ragley Hall Anniversary weekend next year.

Image

With thanks to Justin Smith, our Ensemble at Ragley will host what is intended to be the largest collection of Monogram cars that there has ever been to date. This collection will incorporate all models of both the MG and Rover brands. If you've a monogram motor and would like to be part of this collection, then please drop Justin a message http://forums.75-zt.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=329

The first of the speakers has been confirmed for the Saturday evening dinner at Studley Castle.

We are pleased to announce that Ian Pogson, who is one of the technical gods at MG Motor and MG Rover prior to that. He was also one of the chief people who helped the cross over of MGR assets into Chinese hands and is generally a top chap!
He is also the author of 'Carry on Car Making: Life in China After Longbridge'.

More speakers to be announced.

Can we also please remind everyone attending the Ragley event to complete the rally form using our new 'heated seat' button on the forum. (The form itself is at the bottom of the page in the link)

The link can be found here: http://forums.75-zt.com/index.php

Thank you for reading!

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt
