power drop out by vsoe2

hi getting a big drop of power between 1500 1600 rpm if you holding the revs at this very jumpy ride not nice plus lots of black smoke when given a bit of revs is this possible the maf sensor has got k n filter any help would be good cheers steve

Lots of black smoke would suggest lots of unburnt fuel. The most likely cause would be intercooler O rings (very easy & cheap fix and VERY common) or a split on your intercooler pipe(s). If its the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) that's faulty you can just try unplugging it. If it is this then unplugging will make an instant difference.

hi sorry been so long been raining all the time ok have changed the intercooler o rings and gave the egr a good clean very dirty inside pipes leading from egr to intercooler have been cleaned now power has now smoothed out for now but now getting loud wooshing noise from turbo above 2000 revs this only seems there when driving not out of gear power seems a bit flat under 2000 rpm any thoughts would be grateful thanks for the help cheers steve g
