OK, wasn't sure as the spot where the thumbwheel should be on the dash is very carefully hidden by the steering wheel and walnut threw me too.

Strange isn't it. The walnut dash hasn't the MKII light oak finish as scheduled.
Worse thing on V8th, no more ashtrays front and rear.

You'll have to give up smoking Frank. 
the new one in the family is very very nice, will your first mod be to put the steering wheel back on the correct side ?
