Opinions on steel braid brake hoses by salop75

Hi,

I plan to replace my brake hoses with steel braid versions.

The HEL kit's look good value, but first i thought i'd canvas the forums opinions, any views on brands when it comes to steel braid brake hose, or are they all much of a muchness?

Cheers,

John

I used HEL braided lines of all of the bikes I have owned and they are great quality kit.

However, I think I have read alsewhere that these do not include all of the hoses required and that they don't come with some required blocks???

If you trawl the club site am sure you'll find a thread on this very topic from a while back.

I have Hel on my 260 definitely makes the pedal firmer and no fade I would recommend they are missing some of the protective sleeving but as it is there to protect the rubber inners I am quite happy not to have them on the steel braided, but the one thing you can not do is to clamp the hose when bleeding that is a big no no.

PS Notice I havn't mentioned yogurt in this post (OH B****r) :gmc:
