North East Nano Meet by DeuxGazoles

After a visit to the excellent facilities of new trade member Jim Pearson Spanner it in Darlington today I can confirm that this would be an excellent venue for a nano meet (need to find a more original name :D )

A full day event would cost us £200 for which Jim tells me we could have the place to ourselves from 8 till 8 if needs be. I think to make it easily affordable we really need a minimum of 20 members which would obviously make it £10 each so the more the merrier.

Now my rules are I would need a guarantee of attendance by way of a deposit, it's been suggested via paypal through the GIFT channel so I don't incur any extra costs & all attendees must pay their contribution wether or not they use the facilities or just pop along to socialise, I know this may sound a little harsh but it prevents the squabbling. Other than that it's just a case of behaving yourselves whilst on site & doing as Jim requests.

The workshop is a nice size & can comfortably accomodate 6-7 cars to be worked on & the yard is massive & access to a further yard can be arranged if need be.

For those wishing to make a weekend of it there's a Premier Inn not 5 mins from the site & there are nearby hotels B&Bs & campsites, also for not a lot more dosh we could rent the place for 2 days if it takes off as well as the Midlands meets.

All feedback would be appreciated & I can start arranging a convenient date

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt
