Hi,
My mirror switch pack seems to have a fault. When the 4 way button for moving the mirror glass is pressed at the 12 o'clock position, the glass does not move. The other 3 positions function ok.

Is this fault resolved by cleaning the contacts within the switchpack?

Usually, that's the problem yes.
