... licence fee payer's money?

I watch Top Gear sometimes and have no problem with their antics but is it a fair and reasonable use of licence fee payer's money to fund a case in the High Court, to stop the identity of the Stig becoming known?

I must add that I have no axe to grind as we no longer pay the TV licence fee :)

Surely such a case would need not be heard? If the Stig himself (whoever he may be) wishes not to be known then that is his right, surely? Or does he not get a say in this?

I think it is more a case of Mr Collins wanting to publish his Memoirs ;)

I think the same question could be aimed at about half of the BBC's activities.
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

Slightly off topic, but do you need a tv license for a 75 with tv fitted? or is that a daft question?

No it's not a daft question and yes you do.

Your household TV licence covers you providing there isn't a TV in use at your home at the same time.

Much the same rules as for a caravan.
