The front driver's side jacking point insert on my car has disappeared. I poked my finger in the hole and found dried mud/sand. Having read about corrosion in the sills I wondered should I remove the rear jacking point insert and flush the sill cavity with water to remove the dirt.

Cheers

Clean out what's easy to reach and then spray Waxoyl into the void. Lot's of Waxoyl.

Flushed the sill and this removed a handful of grit and sand. The drain holes in the sill also did a good job, and after 3-4 hours to allow the sill cavity to dry, re-fitted a new jacking point pad.

I will apply Waxoyl in a few weeks. I checked up on Rustmaster and they have gone bust.

Does anyone know of an alternative company?

Cheers
