Hi guys and gals.
Can anyone help me to check if my 2.0L M47R is a CDT or a CDTi.
Thanks in advance.

On the drivers door pillar there should be a sticker that will either say 116 or 135ps

Thanks for such a quick response jake but alas no sticker. just to compound matters, the bonnet cable feels like it's jumped out of it's coupler so that will be fun!

That's odd (on the sticker front!) Sorry to hear about the bonnet!

Another option would be to get the car on a T4 (Testbook version 4.Computer Diagnostic System), where about in the UK are you?

It doesn't help with that new problem, but opening the bonnet won't tell you which engine as they are both the same to look at. The difference is in the program in the ECU (Engine Control Unit), so the only real way to know is to use a T4.

The reg document will only help if it's been updated if the vehicle has. It's a guide, but that's all I'm afraid.

Thanks for all the replies. the car was advertised as a CDT, but listed as a CDTi on the V5. I'd be quite pleased if it turned out to be a CDTi after all, as that's the one i really wanted in the first place. I'm in Grays, Essex. T4 anyone???
