Hot Key Macro editor by raistlin

Hi all,

I'm looking for a macro editor which will assign functions to specific keyboard key combinations.

There are several available which all do their job admirably... EXCEPT... the all seem to write the hot key data to the clipboard, thus overwriting any previous information stored there.

Does anybody know of an application which doesn't use the clipboard please?

Try Macro Scheduler - been using this for years

It does what you would expect: Runs macros and schedules operations to happen when you want them. Very easy to use

It's on Version 12 now which looks very expensive, but there's a free version of an older release here, which should do the job!

Hmmm, that also appears to be Version 12, but I'd be surprised if you can't find an older one somewhere that won't time out...

Here's a link for Version 7 as shareware, which looks kosha but is untested!

Thanks Dave,

I've had a look but it seems way too complicated for me. Mostly all I need to do is paste text in forms and documents. I can't even see how to begin doing that with Macro Scheduler :(

Should have said that it also lets you record macros in real time, which also means it's very easy to create them!

If you need any advice on how to use it, I'll try to help

If you do record macros, you can edit them later and take out unneeded lines (eg repeated mouse moves)
