Hi Folks.
I notice that sometimes when parked up on the driveway, it appears the FBH (Fuel burning heater.) is kicking in intermittently? Seems to happen when I have opened the door. There is an erratic whirring noise which seems to come from the FBH.
Anyone have any ideas? Is this normal?

It's not normal. It's usually caused by either water in the connector, or a fried PCB (Printed Circuit Board).

Disconnecting the kbus wire usually solves this and so long as the FBH is still working it only stops diagnostics, not anything else.

Ok - is that a pcb in the FBH?
Where/which is the kbus wire?
How do I tell if its working normally?

Yes a PCB in the FBH (is that too many TLAs?).

The kbus wire is the white / red / yellow in the multiplug on the FBH.You have to take this wire out. Make sure you disconnect the multi pin plug, before the two pin power plug.

You can test if the FBH is working by adding a wire into the same connector, or by waiting till the temperature is less than ten degrees. What you do with the wire depends on which version of FBH you have. Can anyone post a link to a how to on testing the FBH?
