Electrickery modules by raistlin

Several people have shown an interest in getting the electrickery modules that I designed, since the original manufacturer discontinued.

David (mad-monkey) and Duncan have agreed, in principle, to join with me in producing the modules again, if there was any interest.

We were hoping to see if the circuits could be rationalised into some sort of super module which could perform some or all of the functions of the previous disparate modules.

Just wondering whether this would be worthwhile?

I would be very interested in an Ultimate Remote if it can be made just to do lazy vent only upon locking (i.e. always puts the windows up), so to keep single point entry :)

I've got one of the originals Dave, one press of the fob on exiting the car can do a variety of things, close any open windows, close the powerfold mirrors if fitted, close the sunroof. Obviously works the other way too which is very handy in the summer for venting the car on a red hot day with one press of the fob

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

The PCBs have been designed and are in production, hopefully to be available later this month.

Then they will need assembling into the final modules.

OK Mike. I suspect they may be considerably cheaper than the previous items.

I asked Paul the same question in a pm and this is what he said

What will it do?:

Press the "close" remote switch - the doors lock, the windows and sunroof close if required and the mirrors fold to their parked position.

A further press of the switch stops the function if required.

Press the "open" switch once for the doors to unlock and mirrors extend to the normal position.

Press the "open" switch a second time within three seconds and as well as the above, the windows and sunroof open. A further press of the switch also stops the function if required.

None of this affects the normal operation of the windows, sunroof, powerfold mirrors, door locks etc.

Would this be from the OEM fob or a separate fob?
