Have just purchased my first 75 after admiring them for many years but am having trouble acclimatizing to the small door mirrors compared to my mondeo and golf. Is there an interchangeable mirror available on the market or can anyone suggest how to improve vision particularly on the near side.

Never heard of anybody having a problem before. You'll just have to get used to them, there are no other options that I am aware of.

It depends on which mirrors you have. There are two styles of mirrors, and the later ones are slightly larger, though all of them are smaller than some other cars. How old is your car?

Maybe the convex mirror has been replaced by a flat one for the Australian market?

You should have the mk1 type known as bullet type I think. The mk2 are slightly bigger known as skull cap type, Get in touch with a trader or look in the for sale section and you should be fine.
