Please, does anybody know of a DVD drive manufacturer who DOESN'T use the Tsst Corp CDDVDW SH-S233C chassis in their dual layer capable internal SATA DVD drives?

The chassis mentioned above is to be found in Toshiba, Samsung and several 'no name' brands and is, to be frank, dia - bl00dy - bolical

I am going to have to replace my DVD drives again and I really don't wnat to install new ones only to find that they are the same chassis.

Thanks :)
Paul

The Sony Optiarc is a known good chassis with an excellent reputation John, according to the research I've done this afternoon and evening :)

I've tracked down and ordered a couple at a reasonable price :)

Thanks for your help

After all that, it wasn't my DVDRW drives, it was my PC :(

Oh well, anybody want a brace of SATA dual layer black bezel internal DVDRW drives?

They only cost me £30 John, so not as bad as might have been.
