I have been looking at code readers but they all seem to be for all petrol models, but only diesel models after 2004....
as my car is a 2003 cdti is there a code reader to suit this model?

Rover 75 club cdti registered Sept 2003...

The diesels didn't need to be completely compliant until MY 2004 but I have heard of some MY 2003 which were fully compliant.

Earlier than that, any code reader will read certain information from the diesel but it is very limited.
