today my cover stuck in the cassette , yes I've had both bumpers off the last 2 days but I've not done anything to the cassette except move it out the way earlier. to free it i drilled the rivets out to poke about but nothing to be seen . i got it free but the spring action is no more , so can it be fixed or is it a case of get another one ? thank you in advance......
Never heard of anyone working on one before. It's based on a BMW part so might be worth trawling some of their forums to see if there's a fix.
Replacement ones are seen on ebay, though the ones with the cargo net tend to fetch a lot.
you can get this a lot once it as been showed i collect glass and it is deadly to put a link up as someone 85% time offers a buy it now price and the seller thinks they are getting a good deal but not always as some can go well over the asking price. Sorry just wished you had seen it earlier.
