Cable TV extension by raistlin

Chaps, SWMBO wants the TV moving to the other side of the living room and, apart from the pita factor, the Virginmedia cable to the set-top box is at it's limit.

VM will extend it for me for the sum of ... wait for it... £149.99 which is never going to happen.

So, does anybody know if the cable that runs from the socket on the wall to the cable set-top box is anything other than normal TV impedance co-ax please?

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

Thanks chaps :)

I think the pre-made extension cable might be the way to go.

I had considered something along those lines Joe but I think the cable extension will do for now :)

Thanks for the idea though.
