These are the correct physical dimensions of the original OEM battery and the replacement Bosch Silver S4008 I have in my car 278L x 175W x 175H

From memory I think it is possible to fit a longer battery. The BOSCH S4 CAR BATTERY TYPE 110 for example is
Length: 315mm
Width: 175mm
Height: 175mm

Yuasa batteries are good Mike and carry a 5 year guarantee, in Halfords at £120 or £96 with their trade card

Planning is an unnatural process, much better to just get on with things, that way failure comes as a complete surprise instead of being preceeded by a period of worry and doubt

I went with a diesel spec Varta battery on eBay with a 5 year warranty, when Ed's last battery bit the dust! ;)

It spins the V6 over like it's got no compression!
