as a last resort i could if you cant find anyone else, but im away next week untill fri, so it will be next weekend at the very earliest and may be too late anyway.

Thanks the offer but we will be travelling to Lincolnshire next Friday and was going to take a 'minor detour' to look at it. However, was hoping that there was someone nearby who would tell me if it was a waste of time.

However, my own fault, I should have ditched my committments and driven up to look myself as soon as the ad appeared.....
