I got mine from ebay. It will have to be a BMW one, as all the Rover ones are 4:3. I have several of those, though!

Excuse my ignorance,so will dodge the obvious question. why do you need an analogue module ?

Pretty sure it will be a question of price, as the digital ones go for silly money. If you fit the BMW widescreen head unit, you need a widescreen TV tuner that the Rover doesn't have. You can then connect a Freeview tuner to the aux input and still have TV.

The 16:9 screen needs the widescreen tuner to show the sat nav in 16:9 and as said add a digi box Bob's your aunties brother :)

I think, though I haven't tried, if you did away with the TV tuner altogether, and bridged the signal wires, then you would get satnav in 16:9.

Hi -- just to explain the odd request, I already have the oem Hi line set up and added a digibox and all is well. however i would like to upgrade the system with a bmw 16:9 board monitor. As i then would need a tv tuner that has a 16:9 output, that is if i understand it correctly

Hi Dave Its interesting you sometimes get a 16:9 screen is that for the tv and sat nav.I havent tried the monitor yet i removed the front facia and sent it off to Simon in bulgaria ( the chap who makes those excellent walnut trims) he is going to try and design a trim for the bmw monitor.

That is exactly what I have done Terry, I think it was just the Sat nav that was sometimes in 16:9 with the standard tuner but probably 1 in 10 times. the 16:9 tuner will bring it up to 100% 16:9. Interested in the walnut facing from Simon. :)

Hi, I have recieved the monitor facia back from simon together with the walnut trim he designed for it.
all reassembled and the walnut trim attached, i have to say i am very pleased with the result as always with Simons handy work. I am not sure how to add pictures into a post so i have done it this way---

hope that works ok, the first picture is the schematic and order referance (item 29)
for those who havent used Simons trim before the last picture is how the trim arrives.
He charged £15 for the trim i cannot be sure of the postage because i had the trim, facia and and other items in the same package.
hope this makes sense
Best regard Terry
