I still love this marque and I will still be around, preferred selling to breaking, as a great runner and performer"

No good without pics! ...on second thoughts.... :gmc:
I don't like signatures, they take up too much screen space.

>>>not to be confused with ex Dan Air <<<

Many years ago (70's-80's) I used to buy exec and sports cars in the North and deliver them to a garage chain down South (my friend and employer owned the chain).

I used to fly back up to Manchester from Hern (B/mouth) with Dan Air (often 3 times a week) and the cost then? £25 !!! It was brilliant! Watching other passengers faces when the ground crew pulled a trolley out and connected jump leads to start the planes engines was a joy to behold! Some of them looked petrified!!

Dependant of bookings (I think) the plane would land at Bristol, Cardiff, B/ham and Manchester, sometimes it just went to Man non stop, that was boring! Once I was invited up to the cockpit, and was amazed when the plane turned right (somewhere near Chester) as I could see the Irish sea on my left clear across the country to the North sea on the right! Amazing! I used to love flying with Dan Air.... I still miss doing that to this day.. :(

Were I able to afford modern prices, and if there was a flight available, I would love to make day trips down to the South coast and back by air again.. *sighs*
So plzz don't knock Dan Air too much John, I loved em! :D

I still haven't got over being handed a pack of sandwiches as I climbed up the steps of a Dan Dare plane en route to Ireland I think it was. Supposed to be business class too!

*Thinks about writing a forty page document....but decides against it... :? *

Right, a couple of things:

1) I have been awaiting a further call from the National Trust but it appears they have forgotten me today.. :( (A small squirm mebbe..;) ) However, thus far, I am assured that we can have our own parking area - I have requested one suitable for wheelchairs - and I await final choices of location.

2) We should be able to avail ourselves of a discount for a group booking for those that are not members of the National Trust...please can you add this info onto the original list asap... (this will not require registration with the Information Commissioner.. :-| )

3) As I understand it, a certain excellent chappy who attended Jake's brunch and did faulous work on the aircon systems of several cars will also be joining us and offering regas services for £30.00 for members of the community.

4) I understand a contingent going to the Rufford Park meet in the morning are planning to come across and join us later in the day...

So, a few more reasons / excuses to be coming along if you haven't signed up yet!

More to follow as soon as I hear back again from the National trust.

There you go...deadline met...more or less... :?
